Happy Hounds was founded on a love for animals and a belief that our dogs are not just family pets, but family members

Since she was a little girl, Keri was attuned to the animal world. At the age of four she insisted her parents get her a puppy. She has not been without a dog at her side ever since!

At 22, after completing a Veterinary Tech degree at SUNY Delhi and working five years at Cornell Animal Hospital, she packed up her two dogs and cat and headed for Wyoming for a job on a ranch and never looked back!

She currently lives at Hearthstone Farms outside Sheridan, Wyoming with her two horses, a donkey, a llama, two dogs, and a cat.

In 2022, Keri decided to add to her animal family and start a business based on her life-long passion for animals. This is when Happy Hounds at Hearthstone Farms was born!

Keri's dream for Happy Hounds is to change the boarding experience for dogs and their human parents. Her vision - to share the joys of family farm living with your pet - is what makes Happy Hounds so special. Happy Hounds cares for just 1 - 2 dog families at a time - so they really become part of the family for their stay.

Happy Hounds provides free-range farm play care and boarding services where we care for your family dog in our family home. Our gorgeous 4-acre farm has plenty of fenced open space nature to enjoy - whether your dog is running, playing, napping under a shade tree, frolicking in the snow, or enjoying some snuggle time with Keri - they will enjoy their safe and fun home away from home!
